GSL Support Roundtable

6th October 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

To help everyone in this important role we will be holding a support meeting to highlight key issues, signpost useful resources and learn about the challenges we face in the day-to-day running of our Groups.
We want to encourage discussion and learn from each other, sharing things that work and working out why other things don’t.
The day will be split into four sessions covering these areas
The volunteer journey – recruitment, DBS, appointments, induction, reviews…
Training – your role in supporting training, completing your own training, mandatory training requirements…
Development – how do we grow Scouting locally…
Digital tools – how to use these to support your role…
Lunch and hot drinks will be provided, the dress code is casual but please wear your Scouting name badge so that everyone knows who you are and where you are from.
Please bring something to write with and take notes on and be prepared to actively engage with your fellow GSLs
